Celebs defend Iqrarul Hassan as Twitter demand apology for praising India
Television personality Syed Iqrarul Hassan's recent tweets have irritated many on social media because they are 'anti-national'. The Sar-e-Aam host shared a tweet declaring India as the 'vaccination center' of the world, informing the user: 'We have successfully developed vaccines for Rotavirus, Malaria, Jap encephalitis, Typhus, Malaria and now Covid -19. Congratulations on our wonderful Pharma Cos. They provided the opportunity to produce Bn + doses for India and the world. Phenomenal! ”
Hassan addressed the key parallels that Pakistanis drew as he talked about their achievements, often comparing them to India and writing: "India versus Pakistan. We are not even sure we ordered the vaccine or not, banana to by ki benefit (make it a different story). ”
"Muqabla kerna hai to taleem main kerain, science main kerain, khail main kerain, infrastructure main kerain, economy main kerain, technology main kerain ... aur such ka samna kerain , sports, infrastructure, economy, technology ... and the truth. "
He then shared photos of public transport in Pakistan and India, with the previously in shards. The anchor then points out that even the passport and currency of Pakistan have a much lower value than its peers in South Asia.
"Unfortunately, the Pakistani passport holds just as much value as one from Somalia from Afghanistan. The rupee is also at 1.90 compared to the Bangladeshi takka, and 2.20 compared to the Indian rupee," he added. "May God give us the ability to transform Pakistan into the true meaning of 'Zindabad,'" he concluded.
In response to this reality check, twitter gets angry because he feels that the presenter is violating a national code that glorifies our neighboring country. Some even called him a traitor, where the gate brand #ApologiseToTheCountry started on the microblog site.
However, some users and celebrities came to his aid with the topic #WeSupportIqrar.
Shoaib Akhtar, a former Pakistani cricketer and now presenter, wrote: "Before we can do anything, we need to look at the context. Iqrar ul Hassan's love, commitment and commitment to our beloved country, Pakistan, is not in dispute."
Cameron later shared the two coins. We cannot appreciate his love and devotion to his homeland; He simply wants to see a better transport system for his people and his country, there is nothing wrong with that, stay tuned. , "he said.
As the singer Ali Zafar continued: "If someone who has risked his life a lot and dedicates himself to his country and the publicity of filming, he may want to see the way. Download it better, enjoy it with compassion and kindness as intended , as it always teaches. "
Actor Imran Ashraf also felt that Hassan was taking unnecessary anger out of love for his country. "PAKISTAN ZINDABAD, even his autograph is PAKISTAN ZINDABAD," he concluded. "I support Iqrarit."
Four held after ‘attack’ on anchorperson
LAHORE: The Defence police on Saturday arrested four men for alleged attack on anchorperson Iqrarul Hassan.
The police acted shortly after the anchorperson uploaded his photo on social media showing an injury on his face. He claimed that unidentified people had attacked him at Wateen Chowk, DHA.
Mr Iqrar said the attackers were armed. The motive behind the attack was yet to be ascertained, he said. His tweet went viral, compelling the Lahore police to take action. The arrests came after CCPO Umar Sheikh took notice of the incident and ordered action.
Police said a heated exchange of words between the two sides preceded the attack. The anchorperson’s vehicle had run into a wedding cavalcade and a heated exchange between him and the driver in another car led to the physical attack. Police said this was a case of road rage.
Lahore DIG Operations Ashfaq Ahmad said the FIR would be lodged once medical examination of Iqrarul Hassan was done.
